Main Characters

HANNAH Scopio = 30s quirky new age -lacks attention to details - eager to please- “Scorpioic” traits sensual, passionate, jealous - Adam's lover and loves him passionately because in the past life they were married, she would love to get married to Adam again.

ADAM Real Estate Agent 40s - Taurus- Jewish - Ex Army officer - Eager to please Annalise - Loves both Annalise and Hannah but in different ways - Adam is a little scared of Annalise but so desperate to please her and her Lutheran community -

ANNALISE 30s - Aries German woman - Works at Lufthansa Melbourne office = loves to tell people what to do in work and life, - She loves adventure is passionate - happy to have a baby with Adam as part of her goals in life -

The story is told in 3 acts over 2 years. Starting and ending with Christmas parties.

Act 1 - The film opens at Mitch’s best friend’s Christmas party. Mitch was reluctant to allow Hannah to attend, even though she promised not to offend anyone, and against his better judgement he finally caved in and took Hannah along with him. Unbeknown to both of them was the VoiceMail on Hannah’s phone asking her not to attend. Hannah did not hear the VoiceMail as her phone was flat.

At the party, she was advised to go online to look for love . She does and falls in love with Adam who in turn fell in lust with Hannah. Later - A phone-psychic tells her it’s a soul contract from the past life and the trauma experienced must be healed in this life, or they will be thrown into a karmic loop until they resolve the trauma

It’s not unusual for Hannah to get crossed-wires in conversation and this one turned out to be quite the misunderstanding. She thought Adam had proposed just before he was deployed to Afghanistan and on his return he in turn was quite surprised to walk into his engagement party.The Engagement Surprise - An elaborate suprise party is organised by Hannah for Adam’s return after 10 months away. Hannah has hired a family & a few extra “friends” to make her party seem larger. However instead of fulfilling her dream, she gets dumped by Adam at the party and where he drops another bombshell as he goes on to say he has met Annalise, a German woman, a Lufthansa flight attendant - on the flight back home, they remet at a city Melbourne He continues Adam and Annalise - they have fallen

in love and she is pregnant. - Hannah's real friend Kate asks Hannah - “should I take down the engagement party sign?”

Later - Annalise tries to make it as a comedian and bombs at a local comedian venue where people laugh harder at Adam who calls a funny joke from the audience, upsetting Annalise she blames him totally for her first unsuccessful attempt at stand up comedy.

Act2 - Hannah, back on the market desperately searching for love - Speed dating , brides in the bush, her boring massage job - and a relationship with Rodney follow - Hannah’s ghost is seen by her housemate Mitch at a book signing event - Hannah then goes to the Lutheran church in a last attempt to get Adam back - after having a dream about Adam’s great uncle who was killed in the camps, Annalise is later found having her own affair with the bin boy Chris.

Act 3 A larger confrontation happens and stakes are raised when Adam’s mum, Etta, Annalise's grandfather Rudolph, and Annalise catch Hannah and Adam together in Adam’s kitchen - the film closes with Hannah's family Christmas - as sunset over the St Kilda sky.
